Penicolinate B is a fungal metabolite originally isolated from Penicillium that has diverse biological activities.1 It is active against M. tuberculosis (MIC = 25 μg/ml), as well as P. falciparum, B. cereus, and C. albicans (IC50s = 1.4, 25, and 3.67 μg/ml, respectively).
